A complete leadership curriculum
Four pillars — Military Knowledge, Citizenship, Leadership, and Wellness — with cadets progressing from self-mastery to followership to leadership. Cadets can earn up to ten elective credits per year.
Statewide events & training
Drill competitions, summer encampments, leadership conferences, and CERT emergency-response training give cadets goals worth working for all year.

A program that works
For over a century, the California Cadet Corps has turned classrooms into leadership laboratories. Today more than 7,000 students at over 100 schools — grades 4 through 12 — wear the uniform, earn up to ten elective credits per year, and progress through a structured curriculum of Military Knowledge, Citizenship, Leadership, and Wellness.
Cadets compete in statewide drill competitions, attend summer encampments and leadership conferences, and train in real emergency response through CERT. Commandants are fully credentialed instructors through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, and every unit is supported by the California Military Department and our HQ administration platform — so your staff spend their time leading cadets, not pushing paper.
